YOU BELONG HERE

You are loved

No matter your past, your future, your appearance, your money, where you’ve been, who you love, what you believe - YOU are welcome here!

Who we are

  • We are Lutheran. Gloria Dei is a congregation of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We believe that ALL people are beloved of God. ALL people are empowered by the Spirit to serve as they are called, including in leadership roles. We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. We think Martin Luther had some neat things to say. We’d love to sit with you at the church potluck.

  • We are baptized. Many Lutherans are baptized as infants. Some are baptized as adults. We believe God’s grace (God’s love) is a free gift, and baptism is a sign of that gift. Gifts are given freely, no strings attached.

  • We receive Holy Communion as often as possible, including every Sunday in worship. We believe that Jesus is truly present in the meal, that he is with us and we carry him with us wherever we go.

Our Mission

Nourished by our worship together and in response to God’s love, Word, and grace through Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we the members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church are working together to share God’s salvation with all.
