Lutherans?
Wait… what’s a Lutheran?
Back in 1517, a pastor named Martin Luther posted 95 ideas on a church door in Germany, challenging the idea that God’s grace could be bought or earned. Luther reminded the world that grace is a gift—free, unconditional, and for everyone. That message helped spark the Reformation and continues to shape our faith today.
So what do Lutherans believe?
We believe:
"All people are imperfect and are saved by God’s grace alone, through Christ… There is no special prayer, no perfect mindset, no good deed required. Grace is a gift. Through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God embraces us in love and sets us free to live gratefully, faithfully, and lovingly." — From the ELCA website.
